Sagewood Remodel

This family loved their home and neighborhood so moving wasn’t an option. We ended up gutting the entire main level and pushing out the kitchen wall. With that new square footage we were able to add a mudroom and pantry that came off the garage and helped clean up the prior drop zone of the dining table. Now, the space is edited perfectly to their lifestyle and ready to make memories for years to come.

Kitchen

Client requests for the kitchen remodel:

  • Lighter and brighter (but keep it warm)

  • More working space around the cooktop

  • Making the sink area truly waterproof

  • Adding storage that doesn’t interfere with the flow and keep the seating at the island

Solutions we incorporated:

  • White paint and walnut cabinets

  • Opening up the cooktop wall and adding a fabricated quartz shelf

  • Quartz front on the sink with tile surround on the back wall

  • Complete rework of the storage systems using custom cabinetry

  • Seating at the end of the island and out of the natural traffic pattern

Living Room, Casual Dining & Mudroom

The living room was updated by removing a main wall that separated the kitchen table and the living area. We wrapped the supporting beams and stained the wood to match the staircase to create a cohesive feel. We updated the fireplace with a limewashed looking stone along with walnut stained open shelves and cabinets for styling and storage. For the living room decor we utilized some of the clients personal pieces but added in some new items from local home store Scenic. Their curated products are meticulously vetted by interior designers for quality and of course, style. Many of their pieces are small batch from local makers or niche artisans. They were so kind to let us come in and pick some pieces for this project and we couldn’t be happier with how their products enhanced this clients home. All of the pieces we used are linked below and be sure to check out their website or if you are local to Boise stop in store, you wont be disappointed!

The addition of the mudroom off the garage was a game changer for this family. Prior to the remodel they didn’t have a great landing spot for shoes, backpacks, keys and mail. With the reworked space we were able to add a mudroom which helped eliminate some of the unavoidable items that life and teens bring home with designated drop zones.

Guest & Powder Bathrooms

In addition to the kitchen and mudroom remodel a guest bath and powder bath were remodeled bringing a fresh new life to both spaces. This powder bath went from trying to service a busy family of four who entertains regularly to a beautiful yet functional space that can hide everyday essentials and provide some countertop space.
